The rector of our university visited the Engineering School

This morning the Rector of the University of Florence, prof. Luigi Dei, visited the Engineering School. We had a couple of hours of discussion between the Rector and several members of the School, who mainly solicited  the government of our University to take into special account the characteristics of the Engineering school, including its capability of “producing” graduates who encounter almost no difficulties in finding a job (or even in creating new ones). Although the evaluation procedures take into account many aspects of teaching, research, technological transfer, not much attention is given to careers after graduation.
