LINFA meeting in Prato

We had a very vivid LINFA project meeting  in Prato. All of the partners were present and  we discussed how to perform the next, crucial, steps in the project. We are at an important landmark: we have a relatively reliable forecasting engine which, given drug administrations in a ward, is capable of forecasting future demand using classical time series tools or machine learning. We have also developed a set of optimization tools, most of which data-driven, to analyze past history of drug consumption, to analyze ward status and patients in the ward, and to suggest a replenishment quantity in order to prevent stock-outs and to avoid keeping unnecessary stock.

Now we are ready to interface the system with a real ward. Not an easy task… But we are confident we will succeed.

By now, thanks specially to Luca, Leonardo, Tommaso, Leonardo2, we have a system up and running, and an active web serevice.
