2022 Summer – Two International Events Organized by GOL

The Global Optimization Laboratory is organizing two international scientific events that are taking place this summer.

AIRO, the Italian Operations Research Society, entrusted the organization of the 2022 edition of the International Conference on Optimization and Decision Science (ODS) to our research group.
The Conference will be held in Florence from 30th August to 2nd September. The Conference theme is open in the fields of operations research, optimization, problem solving and decision making, and their applications. A special focus will be on the theme “Operations Research: inclusion and equity”.

After a forced break due to the pandemic, our group has also been finally able to proceed, jointly with Sapienza Università di Roma, with the organization of the eagerly awaited Third Edition of the Summer School on Optimization and Big Data Applications (OBA), which will be held in Veroli (a beautiful town in central Italy) from 3rd to 9th July 2022. he main objective of the School is to provide machine learning models and novel optimization algorithms for big data problems and applications. Lectures will be given by world leading researchers in optimization and machine learning.
