We are proud to announce that two of our PhD students defended their thesis today, with great success. For both of them the commission proposed not only the nomination as PhD’s but also the “cum laude” attribute. All the GOL lab is excited by this news.
Francesco Bagattini defended his thesis “On the Interplay between Machine Learning and Optimization”
Alessandro Galligari defended his thesis on “Optimization algorithms for network equilibrium problems and transportation planning problems”
Both concluded their doctorate within the PhD program on Information Engineering from the University of Florence.
